Melbourne: Bibelot

Bibelot is here to impressed, especially when it has an older sibling as phenomenal as Chaz Dre. With a minimalistic and modern vibe, Bibelot made me reminisce the amazing luxury European dessert boutiques such as Laduree and Pierre Herme in Paris. Stunning gourmet dessert, macaroons and fine crafted chocolate, you can even walk away with a creamy gelato when temperatures become unbearable.

We stopped by to curb our sugar craving after a seafood feast at the South Melbourne Market. Coming in at just the right time, we were greeted with friendly smiles and given a table as soon as we walked in. Here are the desserts we ordered:

Mango, Yuzu and Coconut | Mango jelly, coconut mousse, peanut tuile, white chocolate, yuzu cremeux and roasted coconut dacquoise

Green Tea Dome | Adzuki beans, muscavado creme, black sesame brulee, toasted sesame crunch and green tea chiffon

Passionfruit and Chocolate | Passionfruit creme, sesame seed tuile, macaron and tropical truffle

Each gourmet dessert was carefully crafted and the flavour pairing was balanced and en pointe. The store even has a section where you can purchase their chocolate bars, coffee and loose tea leaves. I enjoyed my Mexican Chili Peach tea from Hand Pickers so much that I brought a packet home as well as a box of colourful macaroons for a friend.
