The last time my friends and I were here, we were too late to sample from their breakfast menu which at that time, finished at 10:30AM. So this time round, we went nice and early so we won’t miss out. Heading in at 10 in the morning, we managed to get one of their last two tables.
Despite being a busy morning, we were served our breakfast around 15 minutes after ordering, it was rather impressive. My order of the mushroom omelette was a great way to start the morning. Packed with different types of mushroom and feta cheese, the eggy omelette was light and fluffy and finished with a drizzle of truffle oil. Perfectly cooked and well seasoned, the feta cheese added just the right amount of salt. I especially like the ciabatta bread which they freshly bake on a daily basis. Unlike some stale and rock hard bread, this ciabatta has a crispy exterior and a light and fluffy interior.
My friend’s eggs benedict with smoked salmon was received with much excitement. Two runny poached eggs, neatly placed on slices of smoked salmon and potato cakes, topped with a thick hollandaise sauce. Instead of serving the eggs on bread or English muffins, Rad’s take on the eggs benny uses potato cakes. She happily devoured the dish.
No breakfast is complete without coffee. I enjoyed a glass of their cold drip while my friend had a flat white.
I was glad that we came early, because by the time we left, the line for dining in was so long, patrons had to start waiting outside. Their breakfast menu was just as good as their Rad sandwiches and I’m happy to report that they have now extended their breakfast menu till noon. However, if you’re not a fan of waiting, make sure you come early so you won’t be disappointed!
