Cafe Watch: Zus and Zo

Food: Their menu has a good variety of different dishes including some interesting ones such as Frank’s Bratwurst and the Dutch goat cheese with cucumber, fig jam and boiled eggs on seeded batard. I tried their Uitsmijter which is a Dutch style fried eggs with ham and aged cheddar on seeded toast. Very nice with ample cheese, the runny egg yolk was a bonus!

Coffee: A good range of coffee options including piccolo, ginger latte and almond milk. My soy flat white was served warm rather than hot 😦

Price: Food ranges from $8 to around $20

Location and Parking: Located on the quiet side of Jervois Road, Herne Bay, so there was ample free street parking. We managed to get a spot right in front of the cafe.

Dining Experience: A charming little cafe with both indoor and outdoor seating and we sat ourselves at the large wooden communal table by the counter. It was a quiet Saturday afternoon so our food only took 15 minutes to come out from the kitchen. The staff could have been more attentive, but apart from that, it was a great meal!
